How we document storm damage

Every hit gets marked and photographed, so you and your adjuster see the same evidence we do.

Owned by the people who show up on your roof

We are Chris and Greyson Buster, a father and son team and the third generation of our family in roofing. We are based in Lago Vista and serve Austin and the surrounding areas.

Our rule is simple: do what is right, every time, even when it costs us the job. If the storm did not damage your roof, we will tell you that before you file.

What we check after a storm

  • Hail bruising on shingles, where the mat is fractured under the granules
  • Wind-lifted, creased or missing shingles
  • Damage to soft metals: vents, flashing, gutters and downspouts as test spots
  • Collateral damage to siding, window screens and fences that helps confirm storm size
  • Interior signs: new stains or leaks in the attic

Not every storm leaves damage that qualifies for a claim. See what real hail damage looks like on a roof.

How we help with your insurance claim

1. Free storm inspection

100+ photos of the roof and the test spots. You see exactly what we see.

2. A straight answer on filing

If the damage is minor or below your deductible, we tell you not to file. A claim on your record should be worth it.

3. Adjuster-ready documentation

If you file, you get organized photos and a damage summary your adjuster can work from.

4. Adjuster meeting

We can meet your adjuster on the roof so nothing gets missed. If a claim gets complicated, we work with a public adjuster we trust.

5. Repair or replacement

Once the claim is settled, we do the work to manufacturer specs and document the finished roof.

What we will not do

We do not promise a free roof or offer to cover your deductible. Texas law bars contractors from waiving or rebating your deductible, so an offer to do it is a red flag. We tell you what we find, even if the answer is that your roof is fine.

Questions homeowners ask us

Should I file a claim after every hailstorm?

No. File only when there is real, covered damage that is worth more than your deductible. We help you figure that out before you call.

How long do I have to file a storm claim in Texas?

It depends on your policy. Many Texas policies set a deadline measured from the date of the storm, so check yours and do not wait months to get the roof looked at.

Does homeowners insurance cover a full roof replacement?

It can, when storm damage is widespread enough. How insurance roof replacement works.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?

It can. That is one more reason to get an honest inspection first.

Can you meet my adjuster?

Yes. We can be on the roof with your adjuster to point out the damage we documented.
